Many people can’t wait to get the latest details about the newest conspiracy theories, while other people dismiss these theories as being ridiculous and false. However, this is what many governments, corporations and others with the ability to bribe, threaten and manipulate want you to think.
While some skepticism is undoubtedly healthy, especially when it comes to hearing an objective view on a particular subject, in some cases the skepticism can go too far.
When this happens, it does nothing to debunk the conspiracy theory and in fact it has quite the opposite affect, only serving to add fuel to the fire.
In many cases, some skeptics are not adding anything new to the discussion, but simply reiterating the “mainstream” line of thought.
Here are 5 conspiracy theories that many people attempted to dismiss, but were later found to be based in fact and absolutely true.
1. KENNEDY ASSASSINATION – 2ND INVESTIGATION BY CONGRESS
In 1976 the United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) was established to investigate both the John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. assassinations.
Very important! The US Government Was Found Guilty in Court for the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
The HSCA met from 1976 to 1978 and finally in 1979 issued its final report that concluded that President Kennedy was probably assassinated not only by the Mafia but maybe the CIA.
The 1979 report consisted not only of the report, but also contained 12 volumes of appendices on each assassination and was published by Congress.
In the case of President Kennedy the report stated that there was a “probable conspiracy” however they were unable to discover who else participated besides Oswald.
Case Closed: The CIA Killed JFK After He Shut Down Rothschild’s Federal Reserve
Their report, partially based upon a tape recording of the shots, was also based in the fact that Ruby may have had Mafia and even CIA or FBI connections to Oswald.
So the question becomes: What made them come to the conclusion that the assassination of JFK was more than likely a conspiracy?
It could be that many witnesses, some who were CIA and station chiefs in Dallas the morning of the assassination, were killed the night before they were due to testify. As an example, George de Mohrenschildt was a geologist that became a friend of Oswald’s months before the assassination.
Mr. de Mohrenschildt also worked for the CIA at the time, and according to reports, blew his brains out the night before he was due to testify before the committee.
The HSCA also discovered some very interesting facts about Oswald during the course of their investigation.
They learned that Oswald, while in the Marines learned how to speak Russian and at the height of the Cold War was given money by the State Department to travel to Russia, but not before stopping off at a top secret facility in Japan.
The committee found evidence to suggest that Oswald was probably working during the Cold War and was ordered to infiltrate Russia as either a double agent or defector of some type.
Upon his return he received money from the State Department to buy a house and he was working with an ex FBI chief and CIA officials in helping to train anti-Castro Cubans for an invasion.
While working in Louisiana, Oswald was involved with Operation Mongoose where he worked under the supervision of CIA operative David Ferrie.
Operation Mongoose worked with the Southern Mafia leaders because the casinos in Cuba that got shut down after Castro took control, were really epicenters for control of the country of Cuba.
The CIA even hired the mafia to assassinate Castro and three unsuccessful attempts were made on Castro’s life. Coincidentally, David Ferrie allegedly killed himself before testifying before the committee.
What’s interesting is that over 100 people connected to the assassination died within a few years of what is termed, “unusual circumstances.” The ones who didn’t end up dead, showed up in other conspiracies.
For example, E. Howard Hunt who was a CIA agent confessed to being involved in a conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy on his deathbed. Hunt was also one of the Watergate thieves.
The money trail from the conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy that leads to many other people, most of who were murdered and, had they lived, could have exposed the conspiracy theory behind the assassination.
The conclusions arrived at by the HSCA are in direct opposition to the Warren Commissions findings and both reports are from congressional committees. So the real question is: Which report is true?

2. OPERATION MOCKINGBIRD
When the Cold War was getting started in the late 1940’s, the CIA implemented a program called Operation Mockingbird. The objective was to purchase control and influence many major media outlets.
The CIA also planned to have many reporters and journalists on the CIA payroll – a practice many people believe is continuing to this day.
One of the main objectives was to use these journalists as spies and to spread propaganda. The list of news organizations came to include reporters from ABC, NBC, CBS, Time, Newsweek, Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard, and Copley News Service.
The CIA was so effective in its efforts, that by the 1950’s they’d managed to infiltrate American businesses, media, and universities with tens of thousands operatives that were on-call and ready to act at a moment’s notice.
It’s also been discovered that the CIA funded more than one movie including the animated “Animal Farm” by George Orwell.
The Church Committee (more on them later), finally exposed the CIA’s operation in 1975 and Operation Mockingbird ceased to exist – at the least that’s what they want us to believe.
3. THE CIA KILLS A LOT OF PEOPLE (CHURCH COMMITTEE)
The United States Senate Select Committee to Study Government Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities, aka The Church Committee, is a U.S. Senate Committee that in 1975 was chaired by Senator Frank Church.
The Church Committee was a precursor to the now U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
The Church Committee’s job was to investigate whether the intelligence gathering methods employed by the CIA and FBI were legal in light of revelations brought up during the Watergate scandal.
The Church Committee not only discovered Operation Mockingbird as discussed previously, but that the CIA had violated its own charter on several occasions.
The CIA’s charter stated that they were only allowed to gather intelligence.
The Church Committee uncovered the assassinations of Allende in Chile, Mossadegh in Iran, and other assassinations on leaders in Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia – the list of assassinations was staggering.
Also declassified was information regarding a “Heart Attack Gun” that the CIA made in order to have the ability to kill someone without detection – ingenious really.
Other methods of assassination included cancer, automobile accidents, skiing accidents, suicide, boating accidents and heart attacks, just to name a few.
The hearings, while recorded and on the Congressional record, have not really made their way into the “mainstream” and in fact, many Americans either aren’t aware that these hearings ever took place, or dismiss it as a conspiracy theory.
4. CIA DRUG TRAFFICKING AND DRUG SMUGGLING
In his book, “Dark Alliance: The CIA, the Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion,” Gary Webb explained how, in the 1980’s the CIA facilitated the sale of cocaine to the street gangs, the Crips and Bloods, in Los Angeles in order to funnel the drug profits to the contras, a Latin American guerrilla army.
Here’s now Mr. Webb says it worked: he claims that the CIA-backed contras would smuggle cocaine into the United States and then distribute it to the LA gangs and pocket the profit to distribute to the contras.
Coincidentally, it probably should be mentioned that on December 10, 2004, Gary Webb allegedly committed suicide under some mysterious circumstances – the fact that he allegedly used two bullets to shoot himself in the head.
Then in August of 1987 in a small community outside of Little Rock, Arkansas, two teenage boys were murdered by police because the boys witnessed a police-protected drug drop.
The drug drop was actually part of a drug smuggling operation that took place at a small airport in Arkansas that was established in the early 1980’s by a drug smuggler named Barry Seal.
Here’s the thing, Mr. Seal was facing a lot in time of prison because of his drug operations and flew to Washington, D.C. where he cut a deal with the CIA and DEA.
In this deal, he would avoid prison if he became an informant for the government against other drug smugglers. In addition to his duties as an informant, he was also utilized by the CIA to help in financing the Nicaraguan Contras.
The CIA’s connection to this operation became undeniable when a cargo plane given to Mr. Seal by the CIA was shot down over Nicaragua and found to contain a load of weapons for the contras.
Despite all the glaring evidence, any investigator that has attempted to expose the operation has been professionally destroyed, and those that were involved in the drug operation protected from authorities.

5. PROJECT MKULTRA
Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, in 1977 it was discovered that between the years of 1950 to 1973, the CIA operated Project MKUltra, a project that involved mind-control experiments on United States citizens.
Senate hearings took place when approximately 20,000 documents were uncovered that outlined the project. Basically, the project showed that the CIA used drugs, hypnosis, electronics, sensory deprivation, verbal and sexual abuse, and torture in their behavioral engineering experiments.
These experiments were subcontracted to over 80 different institutions including prisons, universities, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies.
In 1973, then CIA Director Richard Helms had most the most incriminating documents in relation to MKUltra destroyed and much of what really happened still remains unknown.
As usual, not a single person was held accountable or brought to justice.
This conspiracy theory turned out to be so true in fact, that President Clinton issued a formal apology on behalf of the government in 1995.
So if you’re a conspiracy theorist, next time someone scoffs at your beliefs and theories, you may want to show them this article.
