Leader of the Anti-Trump Protests Arrested on Pedophile Charges

The leader of the violent anti-Trump ‘Abolish ICE’ protests has been arrested for raping children.

The 24-year-old head of the leftist group “Portland’s Resistance,” Micah Rhodes, has been charged with sexually abusing minors.

This isn’t Rhodes’s first arrest for pedophilia as he was previously charged with sexually abusing a young boy and a young girl on separate occasions.

Despite being found guilty on previous charges, Rhodes was set free by a judge on probation, allowing him to re-offend.

This now brings up further questions as to whether the controversial decision to set Rhodes free after his prior convictions was, in fact, politically motivated, as his recent arrest confirms that he is a danger to the public.

Western Journal reports: Earlier this year, according to Oregon Live, Rhodes was convicted “on three counts of second-degree sexual abuse for having illicit sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl in Washington County and a 17-year-old boy in Multnomah County.”

Rhodes was 20 and 21 years old when he committed the sexual abuse in 2014 and 2015.

Rather than follow the state sentencing guidelines and send Rhodes to jail for two to two-and-a-half years, Multnomah County Circuit Judge Jerry Hodson and Washington County Circuit Judge Janelle Wipper decided in separate hearings to order five years of probation for Rhodes instead.

According to Jerry Hodson, as reported by Oregon Live, he did not want to send Rhodes to prison because Hodson believed Rhodes was genuinely trying to change.

“I can tell that you’re sincere and I can tell that you’ve grown a lot over the last couple of years,” Hodson said.

Rhodes’ court-ordered probation comes with a lengthy list of conditions, the most important of which is the requirement that he stay away from all children — unless given express permission to be around them by his probation officer.

Now, less than a month after his second sentencing, Rhodes has been arrested for — you guessed it — being around minors without permission.

At a protest outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office located in Southwest Portland, Rhodes was spotted in the vicinity of protesters under the age of 18.

Blogger Robert West filmed the protest, zooming in on Rhodes standing on the roof of a building, directly above where three younger girls stood.

The protest Rhodes was filmed at took place on June 22 — after his first hearing in May, but before his second hearing in July.

Now, it is once again up to Washington County Circuit Judge Janelle Wipper to decide whether or not Rhodes will actually be sent to jail.

If she rules that he did violate his probation by being around minors without permission, Rhodes could receive anything from a verbal reprimand to two or more years in prison.

The irony of Rhodes’ position is that he protests ICE and claims to care about immigrant children at the border, yet he is a known pedophile.

How the liberal media manages to justify these two conflicting interests is just beyond rational thinking.

Let’s hope Judge Wipper does the right thing this time and sends this creep to prison.
