A prominent Ukrainian news organization has named George Soros, the man behind the far-left, pro-globalization Open Society Foundation, as the second-most influential figure in Ukraine, just behind the country’s head of state – Volodymyr Zelensky.

In its recent piece titled “Top 100 most influential people and events in Ukraine”, the Kiev-based newspaper Vesti ranked George Soros, the Hungarian-American billionaire financier, and social engineer, as the country’s second-most influential figure.

The Ukrainian news outlet attributes the globalist billionaire’s position on the list to his exceptional level of influence on the events taking place across the country’ via the dozens of political organizations that he funds, as well as the politicians in the Cabinet of Ministers that he backs.

Soros has been meddling in Ukrainian politics for nearly two decades under the guise of defending so-called “universal values” that don’t have a “national jurisdiction”.

The news outlet notes that Soros’ Open Society Foundations financed former Georgian President and ex-head of Odessa region’s administration Mikheil Saakashvili, President Zelensky’s adviser Svetlana Zalishchuk, and influential, pro-EU journalist Mustafa Nayyem, a man who was recently appointed deputy general director of the Ukrainian defense company Ukroboronprom.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, George Soros said that nationalist-populists like Donald Trump, Italy’s Matteo Salvini, and Hungary’s Viktor Orbán are temporary aberrations, and that globalism would vanquish nationalism in the near future.
